The America Nurses Association has designated 2017 as the "Year of Healthy Nurses".  This years theme was "Nursing: The Balance of Mind, Body and Spirit."  The facility hosted events all week in honor of the nurses to show appreciation for all that they do.  Festivities included:

• "Be Different Monday" - Wear your scrubs, but not your usual color
• "Hats Off to Nurses Tuesday" - Wear your favorite hat or cap (Ice Cream Social)
• "Twin Day Wednesday" - Dress alike with an employee. (Doughnuts for Breakfast & Nacho Social after lunch)
• "Geeked for Nurses Thursday" - Dress in your geek wear (Strawberry Shortcake Social)
• "Jean Friday" - Dress in your favorite jeans (Nurse Reception

The nurses were given t-shirts with their initials imprinted inside of a stethoscope along with snack bags as a token of appreciation for their dedication and caring heart.  After all, acknowledging nurses who lead the charge for health and wellness was worth a celebration.
